Judge rules Chris Brown DOES NOT have to go to jail for violating his probation

Judge likes the progress singer is making in anger management.

Rehabilitation has been going so well for Chris Brown it's going to keep him out of jail for the time being.

A motion by L.A. prosecutors to send
the 24-year-old singer to jail for violating his probation after a misdemeanor assault charge in Washington, D.C., was denied by a judge, Monday (Feb. 3), the Associated Press reports.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James Brandlin ruled that Brown was better off completing his 90-day sentence in anger management rehab rather than going to jail for violating the terms of his probation from the 2009 assault on then- girlfriend Rihanna.

Prosecutors were calling for the "Don't Judge Me" crooner to be jailed immediately following the hearing on Monday, but Judge Brandlin, who had previously revoked the singer's probation in December, was satisfied with the progress Brown was making in a California rehab facility.

Brown's lawyer Mark Geragos remains confident that the D.C. case, in which his client is accused of attacking a man outside the W Hotel, will be resolved soon.

The music star rejected a plea deal in January and is scheduled to appear in a D.C. court later this month .

Chatter House Should Use Shatta Wale As A Scape Goat For The Up And Coming Artistes.

It is never a VGMA until one or two artistes declare their displeasure over one category or another.

Kwaw Kese took on Chatter House for losing some categories He thought were easy wins for him, he then walked away with 5 awards the following year.

Asem also addressed his worry about the award and won some awards the subsequent year.

This has now turned into a behavior most of the artistes in Ghana have resorted to so as to win awards the following year.

There is no doubt Shatta Wale was the biggest artiste in Ghana throughout 2013 after his incident at the VGMAs.

The self-acclaimed Dancehall King has been the talk of the country for his out- spoken behavior and unending beef with Samini.

Few Days after the incident at the VGMAs, He took to the studio to do a song telling Chatter House Never to nominate Him for any award organized by them and went on to call them “Sons & Daughters Of Satan.

After His performance at the Ghana Rocks Concert, Shatta Wale apologized to Chatter House for his behavior at the award show on stage claiming He never knew they wanted the best of him.

Chatter House has over the years worked hard to be the main stem holding up the entertainment industry in Ghana and every up and coming artiste looks upon them.

Giving a nomination to shatta wale proves that the weakness of Chatter House lies on the point that an artiste shows an immense displeasure over a particular category.

It is about time the organizing body of VGMA stands to punish an artiste for rude public behavior so as to deter the young ones from trailing the same road.

Surely, Shatta Wale deserves to win the artiste of the year category IF nominated for his attitude at the VGMA gave him the needed exposure to be the most talked about artiste under the year of review; but I think not giving him a nomination tends to make him serve as a scape goat for the younger ones to emulate.

Most of the up and coming artistes look up to the mainstream ones as role models and try to copy their attitude and when these people go astray and are not punished but rather awarded, he young ones tend to copy that attitude and that puts the country in a bad state.

On other note, IF Chatter house are to nominate Shatta Wale, then it is very certain He wins The Artiste of The Year.

Stop wasting your time on my cedi prayer - Duncan-Williams tells Ghanaians

Duncan-Williams says his prayer for God to "spiritually arrest" depreciating value of the local currency, is from the wisdom of God but not from the knowledge of men.

He said Ghanaians should therefore not waste their time debating his action because, although it may sound illogical to some, he spoke and acted from the "scriptural perspective".

The Archbishop on Sunday led his congregation to pray for God to halt the free fall of the cedi against the US dollar, the British pound sterling as well as other major trading currencies.

He was criticised by sections of the public including Ambassador-designate, Dr. Tony Aidoo, who described the act by the Archbishop as "comic relief" while commenting on the Super Morning Show of Joy FM, Monday.

"...Is he going to command the people [traders] at Abossey-Okai not to go to China and Japan to import the spare parts?

How is he going to feed those people?...What kind of attitude is this?"

But speaking on the same proramme Tuesday, the General Overseer of the Christian Action Faith Ministries (CAFM) said, the economy of the country can only improve if God grants its handlers the wisdom to solve the current challenges.

He said: "I don't think anyone of us has taken time to think and ask ourselves why has the [US] dollar become so successful...it's like the number one currency of the world".

According to him: "If America... recognises the God factor in their economy and they put it on their currency...then let all the arguments and the time we are wasting in trying to discuss the issue of praying for the economy of Ghana by me go to rest in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!"

"On their [USA] currency, they have boldly written on the dollar that 'In God We Trust' to say that they recognise the God factor in governance of their country and in resolving their economic issues and...that enables the men and the women who manage their money to come up with the necessary policies that help to move their economy.

"If we ignore the God factor because of logic or philosophy or knowledge, we are limited; we are restricted and it's suicidal because, knowledge can only be acquired by going to school but wisdom is the product of the fear of God; nobody can have wisdom without the fear of God," the Archbishop stressed.
